[TSoND]

There are 10 types of people in this world: those who understand binary and those who don’t.”
--Author Unknown

Yep. That one’s for you, General. =]

So, bad news my fellow friends. My lappy, my beautiful, wonderful lappy is going to the hospital.
Oh how I’ll miss you!!!! *sobbing, tearing hair*

All right, sorrow aside, what does this mean for you? It means that access to my blog/email/MS Word will be difficult to come by. (The loss of that last one is going to kill me!) The bottom line? I may not be blogging or able to read blogs. *cringe* I know! It’s just AWFUL!

My only relief in this situation is that I’m going to Storymakers this weekend and I’m hoping that the exposure to writing and the proximity to those with laptops will help me through. Cross your fingers for me.

The really bad news? My lappy will be hospitalized for at least 14 days. Business days.

So if you don’t hear from me for a while, just know that I’m out there playing the "My-Lappy-Got-Stole Sweepstakes!" Nobody gets it like StrongBad.

Ack! Oh, I hope it gets fixed soon, you poor thing. I HATE losing access to the Internet. I know how hard it is. Keep us posted if you can!

When our Internet goes out at home, a little piece of me dies. I hope it gets fixed quickly!

That's too bad about your puter. I hate not having mine available.

I nominated you for an award. Check it out on my blog when you can. Look it up under today's date if you're away for 14 days.

So glad I'm going to get a real Laura fix while I'm in Utah--it will help temper the trauma for me. :)

Thank you everyone for your kind/compassionate well-wishes on my lappy-heartbreak. =[ He will be missed. (Thank you Lynnette for the award. How kind and thoughtful of you! I'll try and get over there as soon as I can. Thank you so much!)

As for all your Homestarrunner fans out there, you're da bomb!

Stink! Technology... can't live with it.

Have you ever heard of the Alphasmart Neo? It's a little keyboard with a word-processor. That's all. Just a word processor. No email, no games, no login. It doesn't even light up - You might say the neo is to the writer as the calculator is to the mathematician.

I got one a few months ago and take it EVERYWHERE. I even use it to take notes at church, since it's much less conspicuous than a laptop.
Oh, and the battery life is in years rather than hours. I've never had to change the battery.

Ok, that's enough free advertising for Alphasmart - it's just one of those diamond in the rough deals, I suppose.

Anyway, hope lappy gets feelin' better!

So sorry about the laptop--it's like losing an arm. But I'm glad you brought your one-armed self to the conference, you MADE my day, girl, and I love the necklace you gave me. You are too dang sweet for words, I hope the puter comes back--I'm sure it misses you as much as you miss it.
