Mystery Meet

Dad always thought laughter was the best medicine, which I guess is why several of us died of tuberculosis.”
--Jack Handy, “Deep Thoughts,” Saturday Night Live

My husband and I were going over our calendar for the next few days and making sure our schedules jived. When he asked what some of my plans were, I told him that this weekend I’d be going to a writers meet and greet.

We moved on, discussing kid’s schedules and appointments that we penciled in on the calendar. I left him to it and busied myself with getting kids ready for bed. When I walked back into the kitchen (where we keep our dry-erase calendar) this was waiting for me:

I really love that man.

I want to meat and greet some writers. Is this an invitation only thing?

Now that's funny. it's like something my honey would do.
Oh brother. I hope you have lots of fun "meat"ing people. And hey maybe you will get some steak out of it...Maybe.
That sounds like fun. Meet N greet in St. George, huh?

I love it when my husband makes me laugh at his silly sense of humor. Because it's certainly different from mine. :) Love the art!

Isn't it great to find the "lid" to your "pot"? My husband is in the stake, and I teach a lot of inservices and stuff, but we are rarely on any actual assignments together. So when people meet us for the first time, they often express surprise along the lines of "I never would have put YOU with YOU!"

How wrong they are! We're perfect for each other. And it looks like you and yours are, too!

I think I'm going to that, too. :D

I hope nothing is too "fishy" at your "meat" and greet.

(You have a keeper).

He didn't draw the "greet" on the side. Have him draw up some mashed taters, perhaps a salad :)

I love that! YOu could make t-shirts out of that. Cute!

Side note:
I was using our under the kitchen sink bleach bottle the other week. On it, my husband had labeled it in black Sharpie, "Bleaoch" -- it makes me smile every time I use it now.
